01 Are there any fees for the buyer?
No. Registration, browsing, and bidding are completely free. There is no buyer’s premium and no platform commission added to your invoice. Our service fee is paid by the lien holder selling the asset through 58 West Auto Auction, not by you.
02 What happens after I win?
Our team confirms the winning lot and prepares the invoice. Your designated sales assistant helps you follow the next steps from invoice and payment through delivery or self-pickup and the delivery review. The invoice shows your winning bid, applicable taxes, and any selected transport charge, with no buyer’s premium or platform fee added.
03 Can I review the asset before bidding?
Every listing includes our condition notes and photos. If you need specific details before bidding, contact our team and we will confirm what is available for that lot.
04 How does payment work?
Payment instructions are sent after winning. The invoice shows the winning bid, applicable taxes, and any selected transport charge. Your designated sales assistant can help you understand what is due and where each document belongs during closing.
05 Where do the auction lots come from?
Our lots are repossessed or institutionally sourced assets, usually from banks, leasing companies, and lien holder channels. 58 West Auto Auction lists them as dealer-run auctions.
06 What are my delivery and pickup options?
Two delivery options: subsidized transport or self-pickup. We offer a subsidized, flat rate of $1.50 per mile for any vehicle, boat, or equipment through our network of transporters. You can pick up your vehicle, boat, or equipment after payment has cleared with the lien holder and the title is released. Title release normally takes 5-7 working days. For legal reasons, the vehicle, boat, or equipment must be towed off site. Review the complete delivery options.
07 What if an item is not as described?
From confirmed delivery or self-pickup handoff, you have seven days to report documented condition issues. Your designated sales assistant helps route the request, and our team reviews the issue according to the sale terms. Read the 7-day delivery review details.
08 Can other buyers see my bid?
No. Bidding is sealed, so your bid stays private and there is no public leaderboard. You can place as many bids as you like until the auction closes, and our team confirms the result after closing.
09 How long have you been in business?
We’ve specialized in repossessed vehicle auctions for over 42 years. Our reputation is built on accurate listings, honest pricing, and support that doesn’t end at the sale. Thousands of satisfied customers, many of them repeat buyers, trust us with their next purchase.
